Give-away X-Men cover

Way back after I just started doing stuff for Marvel, I was asked to do this cover, and to be honest, I can't exactly remember what issue it was for. I just know that it was part of a contest where the winner got the original art cover to keep. Much to my dismay (because I couldn't have it!) it was one of the first, if not the first, time I was able to get a piece inked by the incomparable . I sure wish I could've got my grubby mitts on this one!

I hope the scan does it justice since it's from a reduced copy. A couple of reflections: Notice how I intentionally put Rogue and Gambit on opposite sides and facing away from one another! Hee hee! He'll never get his filthy hands on her! Also, for some reason my favorite figure (drawn) is Storm. Very small on the page, but I really like the way she turned out stylistically.
