Green Lantern Arisia by RandyGreen Green Lantern Arisia by RandyGreen
Back to some Green Lantern stuff. This piece was done as part of a big shot with several characters, but with each piece drawn separately. I think by itself the fore-shortening look a little extreme, but it works on the final piece. Anyway, just making excuses.

great linework.
Did you finish it in a light table without erasers to be more clean?

Actually I think he might have used a bit of Photoshop for some cleanup work.

Was great meeting you at Baltimore; I was the guy honored enough to take Arisia here home. The foreshortening looks just fine to me. :)

Ha! Maybe forgotten. Maybe it was too small to draw in the final piece, I can't remember.

This is awesomeness! How do you plot out your foreshortening? It's absolutely perfect and I'd really like to know how you get around the receding areas! Thanks man.

Thanks! In this case, there were some other characters in the final shot, all coming out at the viewer. So, it depended on how far or close the other figures appeared on how much I emphasized the fore-shortening. By the looks of it, there must have been a lot of space between characters, as opposed to them being close together which would have resulted in less fore-shortening.

Do you use vanishing points and such, or is more just drawn by eye?
