Red Sonja marker - Comicon by RandyGreen Red Sonja marker - Comicon by RandyGreen
Red Sonja with some markers. AND... something a little different I tried. On her hair I used a Q-tip and rubbed it on a piece of pastel chalk then applied it to her hair. I really liked the air-brush effect it achieved. It gave me a lot of control. And it wasn't such a vivid color as a marker would have given so it balances with the rest of the drawing better.

Love your style, and the markers are fabulous! I might just have to try your hair technique sometime, because her hair looks great (plus it sounds fun) :)

Please don't take this the wrong way, but when I first glanced at it I thought... "Ariel (from Little Mermaid) dressed up as Red Sonja?" I think it is the way the hair swirls or some such but that was my first impression. Excellent work though, and defiantely a fav :)

You say you aren't good with markers, but, you really are. Everything is very nice and light and airy, which is definitely appropriate for this particular character.

I love the q-tip idea for her hair, very interesting. It gives the hair some great shades and clean transitions into the high lights.
